Hebrew Inscribed Bamboo Matzah Box Stand Up Design by Mickala Design
On Pesach, we have many exciting, long-standing traditions that we observe, including conducting the Seder and eating different ritual dishes, one of which is matzah (unleavened bread). We have the tradition of eating the matzah because when the Jewish people were exiled out of Egypt, they didn't even have enough time to bake bread for their journey. The mere 18 minutes that they had available only allowed them to bake matzah. In commemoration of the hardships that our ancestors experienced many years ago, nowadays we eat matzah for the 8 days of Pesach.
With this annual tradition still in place thousands of years down the line, our home is full of matzah at this time of year, and we need somewhere to store it! Our beautiful standing engraved matzah box is the perfect place to store your matzah. It also makes both a stylish and practical gift for your family and friends who celebrate this joyous Jewish Holiday (Chag).
One side of the box is engraved with the first paragraph of one of the songs that we sing (traditionally, the youngest child at the table sings it), 'Mah Nishtanah':
"״מה נשתנה הלילה הזה מכל הלילות שבכל הלילות אנו אוכלין חמץ ומצה
"Why is this night different from all other nights? On all the other nights we eat leavened bread and Matza?".
And the other side of the box is engraved with the answer:
״הלילה הזה כלו מצה״
״On this night we [only] eat matzah"
